Nestled in the heart of Kota Kenari, this Indian Muslim eatery offers a straightforward and familiar nasi kandar experience with a local touch. Visitors often come here craving a variety of curry gravies, each bringing a distinctive flavor that sets it apart from the usual mamak spots nearby. The curries tend to lean towards a slightly sweet profile, which is a defining characteristic some diners appreciate more than others. Alongside the curries, tender beef and well-prepared vegetables, especially soft cabbage, balance the meal, though some fried items might feel a bit on the dry or rubbery side.
The atmosphere is casual and cozy, fitting comfortably with groups of friends, college students, and even solo diners. The place tends to get lively during meal times, with a steady flow of locals and travelers alike, so patience during lunchtime queues is something to expect. The space is clean and accessible, with thoughtful amenities including outdoor seating and arrangements that accommodate wheelchair access. It strikes a balance between relaxed and efficient, making it a convenient spot for breakfast, lunch, or a late-night bite.
Aside from the savory dishes, the selection of drinks complements the meals well, with fresh coconut drinks and a variety of teas and coffees adding a refreshing touch. Reservations are recommended for busier periods, especially if you’re planning to come with a group or during typical eating hours. Overall, it’s a place where familiar flavors meet a comfortable neighborhood vibe, offering a casual dining option for those exploring the local culinary scene in Kulim.

4 Price was quite affordable compared to other chains nasi kandar. Do expect queue during lunch time. Taste wise overall ok, herbs fragrance enough, only point letting me down was all the curry gravy, squid and daging masak kicap was too sweet for my liking. Beef was tender, fried chicken was too dry for me, squid a bit rubbery but the vege especially the cabbage was nicely done, soft and tasty. Do remember to order for kurang manis to enjoy the drinks, or else you might consider RM5.50 cold coconut water in a whole coconut to kills the weather. You might want to visit if you were around but I am reserved whether to revisit.
4 kali kedua singgah kat Fuller hotel sini kerja makan. Their speciality is curry. Something different from the regular mamak Abadi or Babas taste. Try get every of the different curry gravy on same plate.
5 The food never disappoints. Most importantly, the atmosphere is amazing. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are friendly and hardworking. Their nasi kandar is truly delicious — especially when paired with a fresh coconut drink! Wajib try!
5 Visited Nasi Kandar Yasmeen, Kulim recently. The food was delicious with that Penang-style nasi kandar taste — rich and flavorful. Portion sizes were standard and the prices very reasonable. Service was good, and the environment was clean and comfortable. Overall, a satisfying meal and a place worth revisiting.
5 The service is very good. Staff are all well trained. The food is generally good but I wasn't happy with the ayam ros. Too much food colouring
4 The kandar rice here is different from other shops, the white rice is not the usual white rice The fried chicken is also delicious but must eat when it's still hot. "Kurma kambing" are also okay. Most of the menu is the same as other Kandar rice restaurants. Tip top shop cleanliness. Even the employees do not insist on forcing us to choose quickly. So you can slowly look at the dishes before choosing. The price also stated there . During payment, in the receipt, dishes you order also written. update 2026 : Now there are some new menus. The atmosphere in here is noisy and bustling. Need pay first before eating.
4 If you miss Nasi kandar., Indian Muslim food. This is the place you shall come. Rich in flavour with lots of curry varieties. Love the fried bitter gourd and the Nasi briyani . The stuffed squid was rather too sweet to my liking. The fried fish is rather salty .. fried chicken was overly done as meat inside rather too dry! Overall food was salty but tasty. Be careful when you order the tea as rather too sweet even I asked less sweet!
4 First time get RM 5 for curry fish head with promo price. The environment is spacious n ventilation is good. Food is good n yummy
Customers often come for the variety of curry gravies and tender beef, with many recommending trying multiple curries on the same plate.
You can enjoy both – the restaurant offers quick bites for lunch but also a cozy spot to sit down and savor your meal.
Lunch times tend to be busy with queues, so visiting outside peak hours may offer a more relaxed experience.
Yes, it’s great for groups and kids, offering a casual, friendly atmosphere with a kids’ menu available.
The restaurant features wheelchair accessible facilities, outdoor seating, table service, and accepts card and mobile payments for convenience.
